In this fast moving world, everyone is finding an easy way to finish their cooking but not in a healthy way. But your recipes are truly amazing; you give preferences to health first, which everyone doesn’t. I am eagerly waiting for many more healthy recipes from your kitchen. Keep rocking!

So here goes my recipe for “Whole wheat cardamom cookies”(Eggless)



These cookies are perfect for your teatime snack. It just melts in your mouth. It’s a healthy cookie made out of wheat flour and jaggery. Your kids will love these cookies and ask you to make again and again. Let’s see the ingredients first; the mentioned ingredients yields 12 medium sized cookies.

Whole Wheat Cardamom Cookies:

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Powdered jaggery – ¾ cup
  • Milk – 2 tablespoon
  • Melted butter – ½ cup
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered cardamom – 1 tablespoon

Procedure:

1..In a mixing bowl, add the wheat flour, baking powder, salt, jaggery powder, cardamom powder and mix it well.

2.Add the melted butter little by little and mix with the flour.

3.The flour will be crumbly, now add the milk and knead it to form smooth dough.

4.Rest the dough for 30 minutes.

5.After resting, flatten the dough to  around 1  cm thickness with the help of a rolling pin.

6.Cut the cookies on any shape of your choice.

7.Line a parchment paper on a baking tray and arrange the cookies with some space in-between.

8.Now keep the tray on freezer for 10 minutes.

9.In meanwhile pre heat the oven for 350F.

10.After 10 minutes, bake the cookies for 18-20 minutes.

11.Immediately transfer the cookie tray on a cooling rack.

12.Once the cookies have cooled down, transfer it to an air tight container.

13.Enjoy the cardamom cookies with a hot cup of tea.

Notes:

This will stay good for 3-5 days in an airtight container.

This can be offered to babies above 1 year.
