Masala Chapati Noodles|Vegetable Chapathi Noodles-Indian Version

Chapathi Noodles:

Chapathi Noodles is usually made with leftover chappathis and mostly done with a Chinese tinge. When I got bored of the usual chapathi and felt so lazy to make a side dish for chapathi, this idea came into my mind.I didn’t want to add soya sauce because little one will also be having it.That was then this Masala Chapathi Noodles recipe was born. I made with fresh rotis only.You can use left over chapathi too.




Chapathi Noodles Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Chapathi-4
  • Onion-1(sliced)
  • Chopped Veggies-3/4 cup
  • Salt-To taste
  • Sambhar Powder-1/2 tsp
  • Oil-To cook
  • Pepper Powder-1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder-A pinch
  • Homemade Tomato Sauce  -1 tbsp

Veggies-Carrot, Cabbage, Capsicum, Peas

Procedure:

1. Chop the chapathi into thin slices. I used my scissors to make thin slices.

2. In a pan, add oil and fry onion till they turn translucent

3.Now add capsicum and other veggies one after the other and saute well.

4.Add the spice powders and homemade sauce and mix well.

5.When all of them are blended well,add salt and sliced chapathi.

6. Garnish with coriander and serve 🙂

Notes:

Ensure that this doesn’t turn soggy.

The veggies should be crunchy and soft.

Don’t toss much after adding chappathi.

You can do the same with multigrain chappathi too

For the Chinese version ,skip sambhar powder ,turmeric and include 1/4 tsp soya sauce and garnish with spring onions.

This can be offered to kids above 6 months without salt.
