Ragi Paniyaram For Babies, Toddlers and Kids- This is a healthy snack/breakfast perfect for your naughty tiny tots.Ragi/Finger Millet /Kezhvaragu is one of the super millets Mother Earth has given us and adding it to karupatti/palm jaggery makes it yummy and more healthy too. If you have Idly/Dosa Batter handy this is almost an instant recipe. Ingredients:

Procedure:

1.Measure all ingredients and keep them ready.(Idly/Dosa batter before fermentation).

2.Add the ragi Flour to the batter and mix well. Allow it overnight for fermentation.

3.next day morning or after 6-8 hours the batter would have got fermented.

4.Add salt and mix well.

5.In another bowl, dissolve palm jaggery and mix it with the batter.

6.In the meantime heat the paniyaram pan and add a drop of ghee in each hollow space.

7.With a ladle, scoop the batter and fill in the pan.

8.Steam cook both sides. Serve it warm.

My observations:

You can also add the flour directly to the fermented idly batter. I added before fermentation because the taste is better.

This stays good for four days if you refrigerate.

This can be given to babies above six months.

Skip salt and palm jaggery for babies below one year.
