Tapioca Curry|Kappa Puzhukku|Kappa Vevichathu
My heartfelt Onam wishes to each of you 🙂
Onam is a colourful festival of Kerala which is celebrated with loads fun, colour and gaiety . And off course Onam Sadhya. I wanted to try some traditional dishes of Kerala by taking recipes from my neighbours and family friends here and give a try before Onam. But due to several travels I couldn’t try many>I have tried puttu, aapam, few brown rice dishes & payasam. But never clicked.I am beginning by set of posts under Kerala Cuisine with this “Mashed Tapioca Curry”(I did not mash since my LO enjoyed picking the pieces and eating) which was the first dish which just attracted me with its looks in the initial days after our transfer to Kochi. I was totally doubtful about it(thinking it would be a non-veg dish).Recently this Tapioca Curry|Kappa Puzhukku|Kappa Vevichathu was shared to me by one of our family friends.I just modified slightly and attempted it yesterday. It just turned out great and myself & my son had it for our meal.I am adding the recipe in the way I tried and also adding the steps to make in the traditional way in the P.S section.
Here is the album of some healthy(No sugar/milk/maida added) festive recipes.
