I don’t eat Bitter Gourd and husband has tried n number of ways to make me eat. And now I myself made an effort to disguise this excellent vegetable. All these happened in 10 minutes during busy morning hours and my son loved them. He fondly calls them “Sun Chips”.Hoping that he loves them same as sweet potato wedges
Crispy Bitter Gourd Rings Recipe
The recipe is a super simple version and I attempted them in a jiffy. Ingredients are very minimal but the output surprised me so much. If you dislike the bitterness soak the slices in salt water and then add to the batter.
Ingredients :
- Bitter gourd – 1
- Oil to deep fry
For the batter :
- Rice flour – 3/4 tbsp
- Gram flour – 1/4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Chilly powder-1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Tamarind extract
Crispy Bitter Gourd Rings Recipe
Procedure
1.Wash bitter gourd well.
2. Slice them into thin rings after removing the centre part.
3. Make the batter with ingredients mentioned under “for the batter”.
4. Mix the bitter gourd slices with the batter.
5. Deep Fry in oil.
6. Crispy Bitter Gourd Rings ready.
P.S:
Don’t make the batter too thick or runny.
I kept the batter minimal.
Adjust spices as per taste.
You can add just one tbsp of rice flour, mix and deep fry too.
Ensure to have introduced all items before and eliminate allergies.
