No deep fry moong lobia vada recipe-A vada without deep frying.Yes! I had planned to make thai rice noodles for my son’s snack box today. But there was some yellow moong and lobia(black-eyed beans) in excess which I had soaked overnight. So I thought I should try something with them. And then came up this wonderful recipe. The guys had the battle to partition them and I was left with just a piece.
No Deep Fry Moong Lobia Vada Recipe:
Here is a protein-rich snack recipe which no deep fry and no baked version which would need only a max of 20 minutes and some patience.

Ingredients:

- Yellow Moong Dhal/Payatham Paruppu/Paasi Paruppu-1/4 cup
- Black-eyed bean/Lobia/Thatta payaru-1/4 cup
- Onion-1 small(finely chopped)
- Green chilly-1
- Ginger-A small piece
- Red chilly powder-1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Salt-To taste
- Oil-To cook

Procedure:
1. Soak moong dhal and lobia overnight.
2. Drain them completely and grind it along with green chilly, ginger, salt into a thick semi coarse paste.
3. Add the chopped onions, turmeric powder and chilly powder along with chopped leaves.
4. Make them into small pans.
5. Heat an appe/paniyaram pan.
6. Add oil in all holes.
7. Carefully place the balls in the holes.
8. Rotate them and cook all sides.
9. Super yummy Moong lobia vada is ready.

P.S:
Drain the water completely before grinding.
If the batter doesn’t come out in a thick consistency to make balls, add some rice flour.
Skip salt and chilly for babies below one year.
