Ragi Ribbon Pakoda recipe:
Millets have been a part of our regular cooking and I badly wanted to make variations in festive recipes too. My aunt makes thenkuzhal and ribbon pakoda using ragi/finger millet flour and brings us. I totally like it. You can make this ragi ribbon pakoda recipe on regular days for snacks and store. You can give your kids this without any guilt as the ingredients are completely healthy.
Ragi Ribbon Pakoda recipe:
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients:
- Ragi Flour-1/2 cup
- Rice Flour-3 tbsp
- Gram Flour-3 tbsp
- Red Chilly Powder-1/2 tbsp
- Water-As needed
- Salt-To taste
- Oil-To deep fry
Ragi Ribbon Pakoda recipe:
Procedure:
1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready.
2. In a wide bowl add everything except oil and water.
3.Mix it up and slowly add water to knead it into a smooth dough. (Non-Sticky )
4. Load the dough into the murukku press. Use the mould shown above.
5. In the meantime add oil in a pan and heat it. When the oil is hot, press the dough and deep fry.
6. Flip them well and cook all the sides.
7. Drain the excess oil and store in an airtight container.
P.S:
This stays good for a week.
Don’t crowd in the oil.
Deep fry in medium flame.
You can enjoy this crispy and healthy ribbon murukku with kids above one year.
