Strawberry Custard Popsicle:
The strawberry custard popsicle recipe is an extension of my earlier no white sugar strawberry custard recipe. My dad loved and relished the dish. Every time a custard recipe is made I wish this Corona ends and we travel to meet and join as a family. This little boy of mine is also a lover of the recipe.
Strawberry Custard Popsicle:
Ingredients:
- Boiled Milk-2 cups
- Custard Powder-1/2 tbsp or Corn Flour
- Palm Sugar-2 tbsp
- Strawberry Puree-3/4 cup
Strawberry Custard Popsicle:
Procedure:
- Measure all ingredients and keep them ready.
- Warm the boiled milk.
- Add 1/2 tbsp custard powder in a glass and mix with 1/4 cup milk without lumps.
- Add palm sugar to 1/2 cup warm milk and mix without lumps. Filter this if your palm sugar has impurities.
- Now carefully add custard powder+milk to the warm milk and keep stirring.
- Then add the palm sugar mixed milk too.
- You will find it getting thicker as you mix it continuously in low flame. Please note the mixture will not be in yellow colour now unlike usual fruit custard recipes as I have reduced the quantity of custard powder.
- Mix well for two minutes and allow it to cool.
- Now add the strawberry puree and blend well. You can add some chopped pieces of fruits too.
- Pour this into popsicle mould and freeze for 4-6 hpurs.
- Demould by gently keeping under running water.
- The strawberry custard popsicle is ready.
P.S:
You can add honey instead of palm sugar. But add it after cooling the custard mixed milk.
This is suitable for babies above one year.
