Chayote or Chow Chow Gothsu Recipe
Chayote or Chow Chow Gothsu recipe is my all time favourite to go with soft idlies. The recipe is from our family tradition like brinjal kolakari , ridge gourd kolakari and tomato kolakari. Yeah Kolakari/Khicidi is how we call gothsu recipes. The recipe is super easy and it is an easy way to include vegetables into your kids meals.

Notes:
You can steam cook the chayote , grind and then boil along with tamarind extract. This is another variant.
You can let the chayote to cook in an open pot instead of pressure cooker too.
You can offer this to babies above 6 months skipping salt after eliminating allergies of individual ingredients and family history of allergies.
Always have a word with your doctor before starting a new food for your baby.
