Sattur Kara Sev Recipe
The Sattur kara sev recipe was the one I tried two years ago and this is coming as a part of Diwali Recipes now. You can try this very easily at home. You don’t need any special equipment or some consistency checks needed. This is a simple recipe you can make and you need only 20 minutes.
Sattur Kara Sev Recipe
Ingredients:
- Gram Flour- 1/2 cup
- Rice Flour-2 tbsp
- Garlic-10
- Red Chilly Powder-1 tbsp
- Salt-To taste
- Oil-To deep fry
Sattur Kara Sev Recipe
Procedure:
1.Measure and keep the ingredients ready. You need a ladle as shown below.
2.In a wide bowl add everything except oil.
3.Grind the garlic into a smooth paste with a spoon of water.
- Mix the flours, red chilly powder, salt and garlic together. Slowly add water and make into a smooth dough.
- Heat oil on the stove in medium flame.
- Take a portion of the dough and press on the ladle as shown above.
- Let it get deep-fried in oil. Keep flipping then and there. Take it out when the bubbles stop and drain the excess oil.
8 . Sattur Kara Sev is ready. Store in an airtight container when it turns cool.
Notes:
You can store this for one week to two weeks.
Store only when it completely cools down.
Repeat in batches.
Do not crowd the oil kadai.
The kara sev will be crispy only when the oil is really hot and you completely cook by frying well.
