Little millet pulao recipe – Cooking millets is a way even kids would love to eat them is very much possible. This post is all about that. The detailed recipe for cooking little millet without getting them mushy or sticky is here.
Little Millet Pulao Recipe :
- Little Millet – 1 cup
- Chopped vegetables – 1 cup
- Onion- 1 chopped
- Ghee- 1 tbsp
- Green Chilly-1
- Bay Leaf- 1
- Cardamom-1
- Cinnamon-A small piece
- Fennel Seeds-1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Chilly Powder-1/2 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder-1/2 tbsp
- Salt – To taste

Procedure:
1.Cook saamai /millet using this recipe.
2. Have all the vegetables chopped. In a pressure cooker or a pan add ghee and spices. Saute the chilly and add the vegetables one after the other.
3. You can add the spice powders, mint leaves, coriander leaves and salt. Cook with 1/2 glass of water.
4.When the vegetables are cooked well, add the cooked rice and mix well. Ensure that the vegetable mix is dry.
5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
6. The little millet pulao can be served with onion raitha.
Notes:
Choose unrefined millet. They would have brown colour tinge and not pearl white
Adjust spices according to your taste.
