INSTANT VEGETABLE DOSA|CARROT BEET DOSA

When I am super drained of thinking options for dinner,I make some instant choices by mixing few nutritious ingredients.One such random experiment,which turned to earn a FIVE STAR review from my toddler is here below for you.The recipe is instant to all those who stock idly-dosa batter at home.This is an easy and quick way to make your fussy baby include veggies in meal.The colour and texture will definitely attract children.Give a try and let me know how you liked it.

Ingredients:

  • Idly-Dosa Batter-1 cup
  • Beet root-1/4 cup(grated)
  • Carrot-1/4 cup(grated)
  • Oil-To cook
  • Salt -to taste

To grind into a smooth paste:

  • Tomato-1 small
  • Raisins-5-8
  • Red chilly-1
  • Coriander leaves-Few

Procedure:

1.Keep all ingredients ready.

2.Grind the ingredients under “TO make into a fine paste” and set it aside.

3.Add some salt,the paste and grated veggies to dosa batter.

4.Mix well.

4.Bring it to slightly thick pouring consistency by adding water.

5.Heat a dosa pan and grease the pan with oil.

6.Spread the batter evenly and cook.

7.Sprinkle oil and flip sides.

8.Cook both the sides in medium flame.

9.Serve it hot with chutney of your choice..

P.S:

You can add any vegetables of your choice.

You can even steam cook carrot and beet root and mash and add the puree.

Skip red chilly if you wish.

Those of you who dont stock dosa batter,you can make the same using wheat/bajra/jowar/ragi flour too.

Don’t make the batter too thin.

Kindly don’t spread the dosa to the entire pan like a roast. It might break.

This can be offered to babies above six months after having introduced each ingredient separately.
